We currently offer a Science class on Mondays, October - April, from 11:00 am - 12:00 pm, prior to the weekly Activity Group. This class is volunteer-led and are free of charge. Please consider a donation to the Friends of the Library in lieu of a class fee.

Family Science

When:                11:00 am - 12:00 Noon 

Age:                   5+, Suggested

Skill Level:         Elementary Math, able to observe, count and write,  

                         either independently or with parental assistance.

Fee:                   None 

Capacity:           20+, Space available

Instruction:        Volunteers needed



This class is targeted towards children who can understand simple mathematical and scientific concepts and are able to read, count and complete simple computations. However all are welcome with parental assistance.

-This is not a drop-off class. Parents are encouraged to explore the lesson and materials with their children in an age-appropriate way. 

-All materials are provided or will be requested prior to class.

-Previous lessons have included simple machines, solar energy, genetics, "What's that?!?" and more. 

-This class is scheduled as volunteers are available.
